so having had it happen to me a few times now, i got hit with this heartbreaking thought
when you first approach Rae Rae’s farm, you can hear about 2 or 3 gunshots being fired before you can even get sight of Boomer. It’s left me thinking that you may actually be hearing Rae Rae and the others being killed by the Peggies
that would mean Rook was legitimately a minute too late in being able to save her – poor Boomer might have literally just lost his family
