I came up with my solution to the Tumblr Problem – Patreon! I’ve been thinking about doing this for awhile but was feeling a little uninspired over it until Nipplegate 2018, which provided the inspiration needed to get this goin’.
The first tier of Househunting’s Patreon offers a crosspost of everything posted on the blog (and sometimes early access to posts) for people that are leaving Tumblr due to the TOS changes (and anyone else who wants to support me, lol). In addition to crossposts, I’ll also be providing links to the real estate listings for the houses for the first time ever. There are a few other tiers with more content, and I’m very open to suggestions if there is more you would like to see! The first post is up on Patreon that will go up on the blog this evening.
Thank you for always being so supportive and helpful and kind!
What I find really odd about fanfic in general is that you can almost tell what kind of a person is writing it, you know??
Like some people are really poetic in their descriptions, some people almost drown in the feelings they write, others create dialogue that flows so well it feels like you’re watching real people discuss things in front of your eyes…
I just really love that aspect of it, and I love placing writers in a kind of “hey look they’re a descriptions/feelings/dialogue kind of person” box so to speak. It’s such a pleasure reading it when it’s written so individually
Well now I’m curious what you guys think I am? Descriptions/feelings/dialogue writer?
To the followers who don’t say much: having you there still means a lot. Even if you never send in an ask or anything, I don’t care. I appreciate that you still follow me anyways. And it’s nice to see you there liking and reblogging my stuff.
To the followers who buzz like bees: When you reblog 17 of my posts or send my multiple asks in a row, you aren’t being irritating. You’re making me feel like I’m doing something right as a blogger. Thank you.
To the shy anons: I don’t know if you follow me or not, but regardless of why you sent in that ask, I’m just happy to be hearing from you. You aren’t a bother. You make me feel awesome.
To all of my followers whoever you are: Thank you for hitting that button. Thank you for sticking with me. If you ever need a shoulder to cry on or someone to celebrate with you, I’m here for you! If you ever need something explained, I’ll answer as best I can.
