I’ve seen people cheering all day about nasty people’s blogs and pornbots vanishing and  tumblr actually doing a good job, but i don’t think that has happened at all; they just fucking removed any option of finding fuck anything nsfw through the search, the lock for nsfw stuff is gone entirely, and nsfw content clearly still exists, my own blog nsfw and oplenty of friend’s are still out there, they just now impossible to find through the search. 

This is not only bad for the obvious reason for killing all the artists and communities that did nsfw art and content, but the more I look into it the more it feels like they are just putting a sheet over everything out there instead of just fucking making something functional

I mean i am estatic about certain things/people that have finally been taken care of

But the tumblr algorithm is dumb as hell and we gotta keep in mind that LGBT content, health information, and other kinds of harmless content often gets flagged as NSFW on this site like they did when safe mode was first introduced
