people thought seed ranch was haunted. while the seeds stayed there, none of them ever saw anything but people said they’d see a striking, pale-faced ghost passing the windows, even when the seeds were home. when the fighting in hope county started, the peggies guarding seed ranch were secretly terrified. nobody actually saw the ghost. none of them really wanted to stay in or near the ranch but orders were orders. when the resistance took the ranch, they were wary, but again nobody saw the ghost.

sightings of the ghost could only be dated back to before the reaping. the hollow-eyed, pale-faced ghost that haunted people through the windows of seed ranch was never proved to exist, much like all great ghost stories. it became an urban legend, something whispered in conversations to discourage people from going to the ranch alone.

what the world never learns though, is that the ghost was john seed himself, oblivious to how spooked people would be when he did his skincare routine every night and slapped a moisturizing sheet mask onto his face.
